KeyBank has made a generous gift of $10,000 to Daemen College as part of its ongoing support for undergraduate student scholarships.

This year’s KeyBank Scholars are Michelle Correa of Jackson Heights, health promotion major; Kayla Gomez of Bronx, natural science major; Joshua Jacob of Derby, physical therapy major; and Gabrielle Sinnott of Lockport, history and political science major.

Ron Sutton, senior vice president and trust officer at KeyBank, formally presented a check for the KeyBank Community Scholarship to Daemen President Gary A. Olson. Also in attendance at the check presentation were Craig Harris, vice president for institutional advancement, and Scott Rowe, assistant director of financial aid.

“We are extremely grateful to KeyBank for their continued commitment to student scholarships,” said Olson. “The financial support this scholarship provides makes a significant difference in lives of many deserving students and enables them to pursue their dream of a Daemen education.”

The four $2,500 KeyBank Community Scholarships were awarded based on academic achievement and participation in community service. The latest gift brings KeyBank’s total support to $46,000 since the scholarship fund was established in 2006.
